I have been practicing law in East Tennessee since 2007. A significant portion of my work is dedicated to representing individuals who have been physically injured or killed as the result of the actions or inaction of others. These claims have ranged from a few hundred dollars to several million dollars. Also, as a general practice lawyer, I have experience in numerous areas of the law.
In addition to my law practice, my additional legal experiences include working for the Honorable Holly Kirby, Judge for the Tennessee Court of Appeals, serving as a Judicial Magistrate for Knox County Sessions Court and serving as a legal specialist for the Judge Avocate General unit of the Tennessee Army National Guard.
My legal education was obtained at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law where I graduated Cum Laude. While there I received numerous awards including CALI awards for the top grade in the class in Property II, Federal Income Tax and Estate and Gift Tax and I was published in the Tennessee Journal of Practice and Procedure .
I am a native of East Tennessee and a graduate of Bearden High School. My work experiences prior to becoming a lawyer include a variety of experiences including being a patrol officer with the Knoxville Police Department, washing dishes at Denny's, being a batboy for the Knoxville Smokies, bagging and stocking groceries at Butler and Bailey Market, and being a chemical warfare specialist in the Tennessee Army National Guard. Being a native of East Tennessee and having a variety of life exeriences help me relate to and communicate with my clients in a way that most attorneys can't.
